Transmission without presence.
Null Signal examines what it means to send without being seen. The work explores transmission as a one-way act—signals released into systems where the sender remains obscured, where output exists but authorship doesn't arrive intact.
Formally, it isolates behaviors of emission and propagation: the mechanics of announcing, the moment before acknowledgment. It's an attempt to make visible the condition of working behind curtains—sending constantly, received abstractly.
This is the first part of a two-part project. Obscura, the second part, examines reception and what happens when signals arrive.
Working primarily under NDA means sending signals that don't return—effort that remains unseen, voice that goes unheard. These projects address that condition directly: what gets transmitted when the work stays hidden? What do people receive when the sender is obscured?
Null Signal and Obscura examine transmission and reception because those are the terms of the problem itself. They're a way to send something that actually arrives.
